Oakridge Estates is the culmination of efforts to find a unique place that combines the beauty and relaxed charm of a small mountain town with the convenience, amenities, and recreational opportunities typically only available in more metropolitan areas.
Our search for the perfect location and ultimate development of the two mountain ridges into this beautiful community has been nearly a life-long mission for us. Our dream was to find that rare piece of property that would combine all of the elements you would look for whether you wanted a year-round homestead retreat, a home away from home, or just a place to get away and enjoy the seasonal beauty of the North Carolina mountains.
Oakridge Estates is just that community. As you approach Oakridge Estates, you will see the charm of our beautiful, open valley with its gently coursing spring-fed creek that fills the communal pond. Then as you make your way up our mountains, you will experience views of the nearby semi-private Ridges Golf and Country Club, and happen upon vistas of picturesque Lake Chatuge, a 7,200-acre recreational lake only 5 minutes away.
Oakridge Estates is a community that is off the beaten path in all of the good ways and none of the bad. Only minutes away, you can find all the dining, retail, educational, and cultural opportunities, as well as the medical and health-related services, typically found only in a far larger city, except without all the hustle and bustle of those larger cities. In addition, hiking, swimming, boating, fishing, and scenic drives are all quickly and easily within your reach.
When we developed the plans for the community, we worked with local surveyors, contractors, and real estate professionals to plan and subdivide Oakridge Estates to ensure that every member of our community would have truly buildable homesites. Our homesites range from one acre to over three acres. We also had a paved roadway system built and had underground electric service brought to the commnity for ease of access and hookup at all home lots.
The beauty and charm of Oakridge Estates is in easy reach of major airports in Atlanta, Asheville, and Chattanooga, as well as a regional general aviation airport in Andrews, North Carolina.
